Family Tree Magazine Offers Funds To FGS Member Societies

This month The Federation of Genealogical Societies will launch a groundbreaking new campaign to help get needed funds to genealogical societies across the country.

New funds will help improve community outreach projects and will extend the resources available to local societies with fresh research and new materials for connecting with family histories and community heritage.

The new official Federation of Genealogical Societies fundraiser program will allow strapped societies the additional funds they need to service new memberships and their local communities as both hobbyists and stewards of their local community histories.

Family Tree Magazine has offered to give The Federation of Genealogical Societies and its local affiliated societies half the profits on each subscription sold by FGS through this special promotion.

This is a free opportunity to interested societies that would like to raise funds, and does not require anything more than joining the official affiliate program and displaying a custom banner ad on the local society's affiliated websites.

A unique link will be awarded to each approved society that joins the official affiliate program with Family Tree, and the revenue of each subscription ordered through clicks from a society website will be shared fifty-fifty with the FGS.

The Federation of Genealogical Societies national headquarters will award half of their share to societies and events that need the most funding, and the remaining half will be given directly to the society where the subscription offer was clicked.
